• First, spray lubricant on the honing stones or cylinder bores and attach the hone to your drill.

• Next, insert the hone into the cylinder and run the drill at low speed (300–700 RPM), moving the hone up and down about once per second. Avoid pushing or pulling the stones more than 3/4 inch out, and do not run for more than 3 minutes.

• Lastly, wipe the inside of the cylinder clean with a paper towel.
