If you replace the front wheel bearings, must remove the c clips then this is the one, and very well
made for hard-to-remove ones.
I needed to remove three large wheel bearing snap rings which were stuck so hard I broke two pairs of Knipex pliers and the Channellock 929 snap ring remover. I purchased this tool and within 30 minutes I was able to remove all three snap rings. At one point I thought I might break the tool due to the extreme tension but in the end, it did its job as designed. In my opinion, this is one of the best tools of its' kind and is worth every penny of its purchase price.
A very solid tool, the thumbwheel allows you to hold large snap rings in place during removal or installation without relying on your grip strength common with typical snap ring pliers. Would definitely buy it again after using it.
I broke two sets of snap ring pliers trying to remove a 4" internal snap ring on my tractor last weekend. Not only did it compress the ring easily but with the large tips that fit the ring snugly it provided 100% control for removal/installation that even the best forged snap ring pliers cannot provide. 12 out of 10!
